Family Reunion and Event Center

Family Reunion Lodging in Idaho

From our Satisfied Customers...

Our first visit to Albion Campus Retreat was a leap of faith.  We had hoped it would be half as fun as it looked on the website.  From our first moments there, we felt at home.  And our visit was twice as fun as promised.

My husband and I have seven children, all married with families of their own.  Albion is the perfect place for us to get away, spend time together, relax, and have fun, all at the same time.  I would rather go to Albion with my family than go on a cruise!

Advertised features we have especially enjoyed include the pool, the hot tub, the inflatable slide equipment, the game room on the third floor, and we rented the bicycles.  We also took the tour of the campus, a very interesting and memorable event.  We have enjoyed the outdoor stage, where the children put on an original play, and the campfire pit, where we sang, told stories, and roasted marshmallows.

A few of the unexpected features:  the incredible privacy with plenty of space for children to roam and explore (like visiting the emu, and the chickens.)  The museum next to Miller Hall adds to the sense of history.  There are blocks of sidewalks in the quad where our grandkids love to roller skate, bike, and ride their scooters.  And the windows of Miller Hall look out onto the areas the children are most likely to play, so that their parents can keep a constant lookout, whether indoors or out.

We love the layout of Miller Hall itself.  There are large spaces for everyone to gather, and several little nooks for smaller groups to enjoy more quiet activities. Yet there is still space for anyone who needs a nap!  The kitchen is well equipped, with plenty of storage and refrigerator space.  We spent one Thanksgiving at Albion, and there was room for all eight cooks to work at the same time.    The fifteen bedrooms are very comfortable, and all the rooms are all well insulated and quiet.  The multiple bathrooms and shower facilities are a much appreciated bonus for a large family.

The Mortensen family and employees are very gracious in providing backup support, and yet remain in the background when they are not needed.  The clean-up checklist is clearly outlined, and we have found the cleaning responsibilities take very little time if everyone pitches in.  For our family of 45 people, ranging in age from 3 months to 67, Miller Hall provides a comfortable facility that meets the needs of us all.  Again, I would rather go to Albion Campus Retreat with my family than take a cruise.

Sincerely, Diana Rice
